The Third Path
I have called this part of my journey the Third Path, for the simple reason that it feels like it is the third wave of my journey to wherever I am going. As it has evolved over the last few months, a few different elements have come out to play.
Firstly, my connections and communications with animals have become decidely stronger, and also, are not just with my own herd. Many aspects of universal spirit has joined the connections, expanding my understanding of our connection to the elements, to animals, to earth and to the universe. Tribal and Shamanic sounds have entered my awareness and how to follow their rhythms into the connection, and also allow them to bring me back to awareness of my surroundings. All these began when I reconnected with the African earth, the wildness of its energy, and found my way back to the sea and the associated power this brings. The sea closed the circle and everything has become much clearer for me, and given me the strength to take my own path and follow where it leads.
Secondly, the herd and my other connections, human and otherwise, are leading me deeper into finding a way to teach and share. Mostly this will happen through questions. I will question your belief system. I will question your comfort level – your domestication. I will ask why you do things in certain ways. I will ask why you are listening to stories about yourself and your animals that are not the truth, that are made up in your head. I will suggest you take charge of your feelings, your emotions, your relationships with the animals (human or not) in your life.
My posts now will split into two different areas (where possible, and if they overlap you will be able to find them in both categories).
One category will be “Connect to All”. This will include communications based around opening healing spaces for myself, the animals in my life, or others who are happy to participate. It will record my journeys with wild souls, the elements of earth, water, fire, air, spirit & shadow, and crystals, It will include developing tarot skills. And so much more. If you would like to discuss any aspect of this type of communication, start down your own path of connecting through the energy and senses that is in all of us, or just want to connect to a like minded group of people who are not interested in putting a label on your connection journey, don’t hesitate to contact us.
The second category is more about where to start and I will call it “Free the Wild You”. If you asking questions such as “How do I feel what my animal is telling me? How do I feel what my body is telling me? How can I relate the pain in my body to my emotions? Why won’t my animal do what I want?, etc” this may set you on a path to finding your own way of answering those questions. I have done a few video posts on different aspects that have come to mind as I talked to the herd, or wandered off on a ramble in nature. I am going to expand this and will focus on different aspects of the path I have taken, providing a more factual insight into my basic understandings of how listening to yourself, enables you to heal yourself.
I have also started to take a deeper look at various self-help books such as the work of Ren Hurst where I am sharing posts around the thirteen principles she developed as she let go of her herd and reverse-engineered the conditioning process that leads to our need to domesticate others (animal and human). I have worked through these principles many times over, and still am. I highly recommend reading her book “The Wisdom of Wildness – Healing the Trauma of Domestication”. From there you can move to listening to her weekly podcasts with her partner as she takes deep subject matter (such as Privelege, Race, and Power Dynamics) and addresses it step by step with these principles. She is on a journey of exploration that is constantly changing and shifting. You can find her at https://www.theferalbecoming.com/
You can also find links to the book reviews, explanations and understandings from my perspective (which constantly changes) over in the Recommended Reading section.
