Links to the Physical Body
A balanced sacral chakra aids in balancing the pancreas. It also is linked to the kidneys, bladder, and reproductive system. Problems in any of these areas often times show an unbalanced sacral chakra, which suggests an emotional block around pleasure, sometimes caused by guilt. There is also a link to a fear of abandonment.
Enhancing Self Awareness enables us to sense when the body is signalling that a story we are telling ourselves needs to be changed from within. Understanding our thoughts, emotions and physical body, as well as our patterns and habits, enables us to see where we are stuck and make changes which then enhance our physical health.
So, with the sacral chakra, understanding why we feel guilty about enjoying ourselves, or why we reign ourselves in can start to balance our sacral chakra. Letting go of stories about being abandoned, losing our relationships with others, whether they be family, friends, or spouses / partners/lovers also goes a long way towards rebalancing our sacral chakra, and then feeling more creative, wild, and joyful.
