Today was all about rolling, moving, getting in on the oils act, running and jumping, and more rolling. Such fun! The herd were full of energy today.

Belle wanted to join her herd mates and was considering how she was going to do this, as she would have to pass by this human sitting on the grass in her way. I kept offering her the present moment, and giving her a feeling that she was safe, and that I wouldn’t move while she went and joined her mates. Then she decided to release some tension with a roll. So when she was done I copied her. That is why there is a little bit of rolling sky in the video. Me rolling onto my back and side and then back again. Just copying what she did. This really bought up her curiosity and she came closer to me than she has done yet. Little steps, big releases. Fantastic.
I am also always amazed at how the herd maneouvre everything. Right from when I arrived they were rolling. We could just put that down to rain and itchy skin, but I think there was more to it than that.
